How to measure it
Pure maple syrup weighs about 322 g a cup, second only to honey on this site. It pours cleanly and does not cling the way honey does, so a liquid measuring cup works fine, though a scale is still tidier.
Grade does not meaningfully change the weight; golden and dark robust syrups measure the same. Pancake syrup made from corn syrup weighs slightly more at about 340 g a cup, and honey swaps for maple syrup at nearly equal weight if flavour allows.
