About Gram to Cup
Gram to Cup exists because of a single misleading idea: that grams convert to cups with one ratio. They do not. A cup is volume, a gram is weight, and every ingredient bridges the two differently. 100 g of honey is barely a quarter cup while 100 g of cocoa powder overflows a full one.
So this site does the conversion the only honest way, per ingredient. We keep a small, carefully checked table of grams-per-cup figures for 27 common baking ingredients, state the measuring method each figure assumes, and cite the category of source it came from. The whole table is public on the density data page.
Everything runs in your browser. There is no account, no upload, and the recipe you paste into the parser never leaves your device. The site is free and supported by advertising.
We would rather be narrow and right than broad and vague. If a number here disagrees with your kitchen scale, the scale wins, and we would like to hear about it through the contact page.
